55/45 in favor of Bivol. We'll see.

I still favour Bivol but unusually because Beterbiev has got older so you would think his chances would go down but I am actually not quite as confident as I was.

If you watch the technical mechanics of Beterbiev's punch you'll see something very interesting. To preface looking at it, look at a training video of a pre-classical fighter and how they look when they're punching. You'll notice they windmill from the shoulder.

Hitting down from the shoulder is physiologically more correct than highly trained straight punches. Not saying better, but if your weight is forwards it keeps you a lot of power.

Beterbiev throws his punch from a weird spot compared to most modern fighters. The result of this makes it so he's very hard to control distance against. When you throw your punch the way he does reach becomes a little more complicated to exercise as the opponent.

I think what this means is Bivol will have problems getting to Beterbiev. Beterbiev can throw his punches from many different angles and hit you anywhere on the body. His punch comes over and across making them a little bit difficult to gauge with distance. Canelo who is incredible, is fairly Orthodox in the way he throws his shots as compared to Beterbiev. Beterbiev wins this imo.

Bet the house on Bivol, I forgot how old Beterbiev was. What is he like 41 or something?

Have to go with the younger, fresher guy Bivol.

Gonna come down to who wins the jab battle and is able to impose their game. If Bivol wins, Beterbiev is going to look frustrated all night and look like he aged overnight. But he will still dominate and stop the next guy he fights.

If Beterbiev wins, it's going to be like every other fight. Bivol will look like he's doing his work, but won't have the power to keep Beterbiev off him, and will get broken down and stopped.

I think Beterbiev has more paths to victory, but I'm still picking Bivol to win. People keep sleeping on him because the things he does well are easy to overlook.

I'm just hoping the bivol that appeared in canelo/zurdo fights turns up. he looked a bit flat against Arthur with his foot speed and punch accuracy/timing at times. He got hurt to the body too. I want bivol to win he is my favourite current boxer to watch since ggg retired.
