So their father may be the only person who can really get them to focus, train, eat right etc. Doesn't matter how great a trainer is if the fighter won't listen. I think it says a lot that Shingo was also able to get the son who doesn't have freakish power to be a world champion as well, and defend that title against Ancajas with a KO. Ancajas defended his title something like 9 times if memory serves.
