I love Bud and Boots, no hoe- moe. As a fan, I wanna see that fight. Why? Because how often do u ever seen two guys this talented and in their prime, face eachother? Not often. The key word is "this" talented. Rigondeaux and Lomachenko comes to mind, but Rigo was smaller and past his prime. Big difference there. This fight must happen

I agree. While Boots doesn’t yet have the name value to make this a mega fight, I can’t think of a fight with this level of talent at their peaks since Roy Jones vs James Toney. With Charlo no longer a viable option at 154, I don’t see a better option for Crawford.

Crawford will be fighting in Saudi Arabia next against Tszyu(The WBO will strip Fundora) or Madrimov(WBA champ promoted by Hearn)

Madrimov is a far better option. It would be for the WBA and possibly the vacant WBO 154 belts. New belts in a new weight class.

Boots has one solid name on his resume. A faded Sergey Lipinets. His only title was vacated by Crawford already. To compare him to freaking RJJ or Toney when they fought is absolutely ludicrous.

Roy had already beaten Jorge Vaca, Jorge Castro, Bernard Hopkins, and Thulani Malinga. Toney had already beaten Michael Nunn, Reggie Johnson, Mike McCallum, Doug DeWitt, and Iran Barkley.

Eddeh needs to somehow explain to that Turki guy that Bud v Boots is a way better fight than Bud v Tim/Fundora.

DOES Boots want Bud. Because he's turned down that fight twice in the past, swerved the WBO route, waited to petition for his shot against Spence until the Bud fight was in play, waited to petition for his shot again until the rematch clause was activated, and goes quiet every time Bud is free to fight. Meanwhile he's only faced one guy that's been in the top 10 in the last like 3 years.

I’m not confident now that boots will have the career that will make him remembered. His signing with matchroom doesn’t exactly fill me with excitement. His better options would have been TR or PBC with exposure to sports fans on ESPN or Amazon. But matchroom and dazn is where we are so that’s that. Outside of hearn’s propensity to make small fights in the usa, we also live in an era where fans clamour about “superfights” and make excuses for the top fighters to avoid other champions and contenders. I do not understand this mentality of todays you get fans but this is reality. I’ve been watching boxing since the 1970s, an era when champions not only fight up and coming contenders but even contenders fought other contenders. All parties won some and lost some but none of them saw losses as a career ended. Every great of the past has lost, even the great Pacquiao has many losses on his record. What made the greats great is they fought to win each and every time as opposed to fighting not to lose in order to protect their records. Boots is doing himself NO favours by fighting on an obscure app that no American sports fan save the die hard boxing fan will see. He probably won’t get any big name save for maybe Benn, so I hope he makes KO reels out of all 3 matches he’s with matchroom because that’s the only way he is going to make a name for himself
