Hopefully he's learned his lesson about trusting vague assurances from American promoters and their favoured American fighters. He never should have stood aside to allow Spence - Ugas, that's where all of his problems started.

What you juts commented is besides the point punk!! Stanionis has EARNED the right to fight the belt holder... if Bud doesn't wanna fight then he needs to let it go, but he's clearly scaredComment

I understand a fighter taking step-aside money, but they should try to resist the temptation. Especially the fighters who don't have strong promotional backing or star-power. Step-aside is like purchasing a boxer's silence. I know that sanctioning bodies cannot be fully trusted, but they still present a lifeline for guys like Stanionis to try and get an opportunity within a reasonable time.Comment

I understand why Stani feels that way, but Crawford isn't keeping him inactive though. We're hearing a similar complaint being made at SMW. The promoters/managers simply don't want to match up their fighters unless titles are on the line...or unless they're getting overpaid. Stani should be looking at Finkle and PBC, not Crawford. He has only 1 fight left with PBC, and it seems like Stani is being held up from finally fulfilling his requirement.Last edited by kiaba360; 03-11-2024, 08:04 AM.Comment
