Wow! Boxing fans continue to be the most unhappy people on the planet ... even after a year or two of pretty good fights. As for Stanionis, he truly has been caught in the perfect storm of situations,. Health issues (his and the opponents), promo group going through major network changes, the WW division is on hold per what direction Crawford goes. end of contract looming, etc. Just a perfect storm.

However, he should be pushing to have stay busy fights, and there are some decent possibilities. He should be pushing harder to fight.That said things should pick up considerably by late Spring '24.

Don't know why Ennis/Stanionis didn't get made. The Stanionis/Ortiz was ordered by WBA seven months after Eimantas' last fight. Seven full months to make the Stan/Boots happen. Then another one year of lost opportunity came when the Ortiz/Stanionis got canceled early last year. Nobody knows what the Ennis team has been doing all these years.

7 months to a year doing nothing is atrocious. Waste of time and prime years. But still we have no answer why it didn't get made. Someone must have avoided the fight. It certainly not Stanionis who is desperate for fights to feed himself and his family. Accepting a fight with killer Ortiz is no laughing matter.

Stanionis has been associated with Ennis as potential fight since time immemorial. They've been paired by almost everyone, casuals, hardcores, on twitter, youtube, you name it. Yet no effort was made to get it done. Just proves again you can scream to high heavens all day everyday in any forum, social media, etc., and it won't make any difference. That's why it's comical when posters in this forum argue endlessly blaming one another why such and such fight is objected / approved. Promoters, fighters, managers will make fights they want to make, not what fans want.

It's an egregious case. Probably one of the worst in this sport. Not one objected to the fight, yet no effort was made.

Stankonia was at one point slotted to fight Keef. Keef backed out to chase Tszyu because he couldn’t make weight safely anymore and Stankonia was pursuing Boots.
Crawford got stripped, Boots (interim IBF) got elevated to full champ.
Crowley was made mandatory for Boots’ IBF, so Boots went that way.
In other words, Crawford DUCKING Boots, which got him stripped of IBF and given to Boots, changed Boots’ focus away from Stankonia.
People here have to stop focusing on fighters. Belts are what matter. They always have.
The welterweight division wants and needs Crawford to DEFEND OR VACATE.

Bro Stanionis is not the one crying and claiming, "No one wants to fight me doe." Ennis and his fans do. And when fighters show up and say, "He's lying, I'll beat his overrated ass," the goal post suddenly changes to "only title holders doe."

Focus on his phony lawsuit bro. He's suing because he claims he's not provided 3-4 fights a year. What a joke.

And what is Bud supposed to do? He's network homeless, left Arum and listened to you people. You don't want to contact BLK on behalf of the Ennis when that is the only chance of getting the fight made, if at all. On their own Bozy and Boots would do nothing.
