I get the sentiment, but Benavidez hasn't even established himself as a great.

Also, Canelo's willingness to fight GGG, Lara, and Bivol should grant him a lot of leeway in terms of legacy fights.

Ward hating as usual. Canelo traveled to another country to get his HOF career and fame. Ward couldn't even leave drug and crime infested Oakland, he wouldn't have been able to travel to another country and sell out stadiums.

It might be that after all the calls for Canelo to fight Benavidez, Canelo will have too much power for Benavidez who is not a runner. But the fight should happen because Benavidez earned the top spot, and a win over Canelo would be big.

declining does not always = old age.... benavidez could be in a 1-2 tough fights this year til next year and that will soften him up... canelo will fight him end of 2025.

Canelo dodging the best in their prime is looking like Mayweather when he was fighting McGregor berto ect instead of Thurman yet Canelo is more obvious with it. Morrell Jr is just going to get better the longer Canelo waits the more likely Morrell will retire him. Benavidez right now is 50/50 vs Canelo yet any waiting Benavidez gets the edge
