GGG was a legit champ in his division IMO, but he was not trying to face Ward in ANY division. He absolutely avoided that smoke. Period.
Ward was claiming his promoter wouldn't get him fights so he should be a promotional free agent but his promoter proved in court there were plenty of fights but ward didn't want "those fights" wards promoter won the case.
If you are referring to wards later roc Nation offer that was a publicity stunt that would have made ggg delay the canelo fight for a year and a half when the wbc said canelo cotto winner had to fight ggg next. Obviously ggg is not going to sign on for that and ward knew that.
Roc nation even exposed themselves by saying we thought ggg was available but the fight they offered wasnt for another year. They they ran to the press saying "turned it down in 30 minutes!" Yeah because it was such a bad offer! No need to take it seriously.
ward also had no intentions of ever fighting at 168 again. He hadn't fought there in years and said he wasn't going back. This was just a big eff you to ggg because HBO backed him and kicked ward to the curb. Fake offer to try and defame ggg.

Nothing on those world class opponents for Mugabi? That puts paid to that then. He was fringe level. Not elite. Never follow what Canastota says. You'll end up claiming some turkey as a great or something.

As for Gvozdyk, so what if he's not in the division? David is still being active and not waiting which was your claim.
So that’s why I said Gvodzyk is not in his division and if he beats him he’ll never go back down
And if he wants to clean up 168 I don’t see it happening
If he can make the weight , stay as long as he can

But to say murray would beat mugabi is a ridiculous statement that makes it obvious YDKSAB. I can admit that mugabi isn’t the same level the SRL hearns and Duran were so there’s an argument can be made he wasn’t an actual HOFame level fighter. But as bad as u claim mugabi was he would’ve been gggs 2nd best opponent
Murray is far more proven. That isn't up for debate. If it was, you'd present someone world class for Mugabi. But yet, not a single one. What does that tell you?
You don't know anything about logic, let alone boxing. I'm clowning you and you're there licking windows thinking you're not making a fool out of yourself by making stuff up in your head.
For the record, i would pick Murray to beat Mugabi in a head to head fight. Mugabi was a complete nobody. As proven by the fact he did absolutely nothing in boxing. He was beaten by tomato cans and knocked out by every world class fighter he fought. Murray wasn't. He beat a few of them but got ripped off by corrupt judges. Go and watch his fights with Martinez, Sturm and Abraham. Look at the comments underneath the video.

So would’ve not fighting Mayweather, GGG 3x, Cotto, Lara, Trout, Bivol, Jacobs, Josesito Lopez, Kovalev, Saunders, Angulo, Plant, Callum and Liam Smith, Rhodes, Kirkland, Chavez Jr.
I already saw Munguia being hailed as a Canelo killer on the night he KO’ed Ryder and that already stopped only because that fight is signed.
You can pick almost any high profile fight in Canelo’s resume, and if Canelo didn’t fight that fighter, his critics would’ve said his legacy is ruined. There’s a couple that wouldn’t have mattered and really were sh/t fights, like Khan and Charlo. But the rest, I know damn well a group of clowns would’ve been like “cAnEl0 dUckEd jCc jR”.
At this point they’re just adding new names on the “who he really needs to fight to prove he would fight anybody” list. It surely won’t end if he beats Benavidez. Next would absolutely be someone else like maybe Beterbiev.
With that said, i’m not a Canelo hater and I also want to see this fight just because I think stylistically it’s a very interesting match.
