To quote Tony Bellew "fighting in the street? The money I make, you'd better learn to fight where I fight".

Everybody. And I can assure you that boxing fans are far more insecure about this than MMA guys. That is why this Francis Ngannou saga became as significant as it did.

That's why you see all the big talk in order to hide the insecurity when they realize this is a limited game of set rules where you can only use a small part of your body as a weapon.

I can teach Joshua to defend against kicks properly in three weeks and then there's no striker in the UFC that will stand up straight.

Eh, hes allowed his opinion. I dont think its really "butthurt". I assume some people do care about stuff like that, one of the reasons people watch any form of combat is to see who the best fighters are, no?

Dunno why people put so much stock in what Joe Rogan says anyway, or act like hes some spokesman for the sport of MMA or its fanbase. Hes a 60 year pothead and roidhead who is prone to hyperbole.

they watch WHO wins in a sport. A street fight has so may variables it's irrelevant to speculate on. One proximity- what range does the fight start..

Correct, although you'd think he was an expert on virology, geopolitics, nutrition and philosophy the way a certain demographic of males follow him.

Yeah, just ignore Rogan. It's not difficult.

Is that all they are left with - "in a real fight"? Although competing in MMA is hard and to be respected, it creates a solid delusion that every MMA fighter is the toughest one you can face in a real fight.

Yeah, I'm not sure how a 'real fight' is defined but it probably isn't organised in an octagon with a referee and rules.
