    Sigh.....

You do know Bruce Seldon, Andy Ruiz jr, Antonio Margacheato, Jeff Horn were all champs too at one time, yes ?!?!?!?

Some champs were more chumps than champs.

Bundrage knocked out Cory Spinks twice, knocked out Zaurbek Baysangurov, and beat Kassim Ouma and Carlos Molina. Bundrage remains Jermall Charlo's best win to this day.

Again, Smith is being compared to other fighters from his own hometown. You're astoundingly ignorant if you it's out of sorts for a local Hall of Fame to honor a guy who beat two world titlists, won a world title, and went the distance with six other world titlists. It's an incredibly rare opportunity to face a single world titlist or get a single title fight in the grand scheme of things. For every fighter in the history of the world who ever accomplished what Ishe Smith accomplished there are tens of thousands who died in anonymity.

You'd see guys in other sports get put into local HOFs just for making it to the pros or the Olympics, or even having notable accomplishments at the collegiate levels. That's the level of honor being accorded to Ishe Smith here. He's more than earned it and you're throwing a fit about it because you don't know what you're talking about.

Your prattling is making me sleepy

        Go to LV
Bend the knee and praise your hero(s)
Bring a bullhorn and tell everyone of his marvelous works

If you want the last words, it's your time. Waste it as you see fit

And for people here complaining - rewriting history.

Bundrage was at one point near the top of the game. People only remember his decline, but at one point that dude had a rocket on his back. Nobody expected him to lose to Smith.

That said, Ishe Smith was a warrior who never backed down from a challenge and always showed up to work. Definition of heart.

If we're going to put Mickey Ward in any HOF, Ishe Smith definitely deserves to be in one.

This thread made me think of another Vegas native boxer, Augie "Kid Vegas" Sanchez. Augie had some pop but his chin failed him in all of his losses (the Hamed KO being especially brutal from my recollection).

Kid Vegas had a helluva amateur career and beat Mayweather. He's a trainer nowadays and coached Team USA. He's someone who could probably be placed in the Nevada Boxing HoF if you consider his amateur, pro and post-career boxing accolades.

Just bc you're free to criticize whether somebody is good or bad at what they do, doesn't change that they were able to accomplish something at the highest level of their respective field. The fact that they were able to make it that far is an accomplishment on it's own. They deserve their credit and respect. Whether anybody thinks they're good or bad is subjective and means nothing coming from the average person. Anybody with common sense whose accomplished something would know and acknowledge that. But then again, most people don't have common sense, don't accomplish anything and do nothing but criticize others as you seem to be doing. If you would actually go and try to accomplish something and deal with the struggles that come with it while dealing with individuals just like yourself who seem to like to criticize and belittle other's level of success bc they don't fit the standards that you think they should, you would understand better. You'll learn as you grow up.

They are in their state HOF cuz they are state level legends. Bey was a bad mfer at the PA level. Ishe was a bad mfer at the NV level. The bigger guys are just world level legends. Theres levels to everything even legends. Let mfers get their flowers.

                  Yes it does.
If a person is unbiased, they most certainly can give negative criticisms.

Consider: Nevada became a boxing mecca. Before, there had never been a native champion. His achievement inspired more boxers from the state.
