Mungia will never be at Canelos level. Canelo put Mexico as the face of boxing.

Who should have gotten it? Benavidez? Who did he beat? A Canelo left over and an old quitter? That’s how you think they should get the shot?

      stop crying there’s still September.

I watch a lot of BS fights. I don't mind, I'll watch any fight, but I'm not buying this. Because Canelo is fighting everyone except who he's supposed to be fighting, and that's Benavidez. Now that one, I'll pay $100 for, because I know my man David is coming to take care of business. He's not pawing with the jab, or throwing a, "please stay away from me" kinda jab. He's not going to be posing and waiting for something to happen. He's going to make something happen for 3 minutes of every round. He's coming with that high work rate, every punch in the book, speed and power, a chip on his shoulder, and full of confidence. Munguia is a blown up middleweight. He good, but he ain't David. I'll check this Munguia fight out the next day. This isn't a can't -miss fight. It's better than Ryder or Avni Yildirim, but it's not no PPV

This kills that 'sides of the street' argument also. If Canelo wants a fight to happen he can fight basically anyone he wants and its made. He was desperate to fight Mall and Mungia, two weak opponents and scared to death of Benavidez.

I agree. Putting the record aside, as fun a fight as it's destined to be, Canelo is gonna destroy Munguia. Even tho Canelo is clearly slowing down, Canelo still has every possible advantage in the ring against Munguia and Munguia with his all-action style, has major holes on defense and is tailor-made for Canelo to tee off and take him out. Don't think it's gonna be competitive at all, but Munguia will make a fight out of it as long he lasts. No way this one can be boring.

Well no one saw this happening. Thought he had signed for Eddie and DAZN. Nope back with PBC and Amazon with the fight also on DAZN. Guess that's how his pay demands were met.
