You all massively overrated zhang

Was thinking about our convo when this fight was going on.

Yeah there were a few of us in that thread who all realised Zhang had glaring flaws that made him beatable.

Still think he’s dangerous for a lot guys but no chance he beats the top guys like Fury, Usyk or even AJ IMO.

He's obviously got a punch but that's about it really.

Incredibly bad gas tank, he's shown that continuously.

He's a big man but came in 15lbs or so over where he should 275 is about right which would help a little with his speed but can't do nothing about being old.

I’m wondering if Zhang is that strong or is Parker’s chin that bad. But yeah I think if Zhang came in at like 265 it would have been a different fight

The second knockdown was a punch that seemed to land on the back of Parker's head. It was sort of Parker's fault though, but still a bad place to get hit. The first knockdown hit Parker right on the nose and may have broken it. He wasn't catching Parker the same way he was catching Joyce.

The last time he weighed below 270 was the Jerry Forrest fight, and he looked like absolute shxt.

Yeah he was definitely starting to become a little overrated. The Joyce wins were impressive but lets face it Joyce is a stylistic anomaly, he moves likes hes underwater and relies heavily on his chin, which obviously plays into Zhangs strengths (size and power) much more than Parker who is relatively quick and elusive.

One things for sure though, he hits hard as ****.

As I've always said, I think if you put him in at that level he'll look like what he is... far too slow.

He looked relatively quick against Hrgovic and Joyce but that's relative to their speed.

I still think he's a good fighter who just happened to have lost to a better one tonight. Especially impressive considering his age and weight.

People are writing up his Joyce wins as to nothing more than luck due to the latter being slow, but go back and watch the second fight especially; Zhang showed excellent boxing acumen in that fight; it's how he caught Joyce with that right hand. Not sure why he didn't show any of that here. He banked on his power and when Parker proved too elusive to spark it up, he just stood around doing nothing of importance. Very disappointing. The whole card was pretty disappointing, really. Seeing short stack Ball tough it out against a beanstalk and that ungodly knockout delivered by AJ were the only worthwhile moments IMO.

I always thought Zhang was good but just too OLD. He’s HUGE, crafty and a south paw. Those 3 attributes are a night mare fore any boxer but Parker is fast, crafty and younger. It was close but it went in his favor.
