This isn't a loss that should kill Tszyu, but it definitely feels like a must-win because of Crawford's looming shadow. Tszyu needs to win in order to keep that legacy fight alive because it's the only one near his weight class. Cynicism warning: I'm glad this isn't for the WBO title. If there's one guy that I wouldn't want to have a belt, it's Thurman. His inactivity/injury-proneness and entitlement makes him extremely unreliable. If Tszyu loses, he's way more likely to defend the title again before year's end with no drama. If Thurman won the title, we'd be worried about when his next fight would be.
