Ennis probably misread the letterhead of the paper he signed. It actually said NOT Boxing.

His dad was homies with Dunkin. It was a horrible move for a guy this talented with legit options to sign with a promoter without a fooking TV deal. This is boxing business 101 sh^t. The real problem is Boots listening to his dad. Bozy Ennis is no Bill Haney.Comment

He finally found a scapegoat, a grieving widow who has no knowledge of the business. Ennis could have just peacefully settled to get out of the contract and accept offers from others who have expressed interest in signing him. Only immature very depended teenagers still living with their parents would do something like this. He could earn more by using his talents and skills in boxing.Comment

So often fighters who have their fathers involved in the business side of their careers, is a disaster. I hate to say this but I’m sure Bozy probably was looking out for himself. Now, Boots is going to be inactive while the courts sort this mess out. I would not be surprised when all the facts come out that Bozy was on the take and looking out for himself. Boots needs to win his case and get rid of Bozy too. Boots will have no shortage of promoters knocking on his door for his services with Haymon at the front of the line.Comment

Oh boy.... It sounds like Ennis' team signed an agreement that has locked them in with this promoter now that he's IBF champ. I hope he can work something out to get out of this deal made back in 2019. Ennis is a great talent and it would be a shame if he didnt get the opportunities his talent deserves.Comment

Roy Jones Junior learned that early in his career with his father.Comment
