Jaron 'Boots' Ennis is locked in for his next fight. Unfortunately for the unbeaten IBF welterweight titlist, it will take place in a courtroom rather than the ring. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Philadelphia's Ennis has filed a three-count lawsuit against NOW Boxing, claiming

Glad to see this and to get some kind of insight into why Ennis never fights. Hopefully he gets out of his contract and back into the ring with a decent promoter.

Well I guess we know why he has been out of the ring

pro boxing is a business but too bad everyone who doesn’t get punched in the face holds up good fights and fighters because of their underhanded business practices

Is Boots passing the buck here or has he figured out a scapegoat from his contract
All we’ve been reading is how he refuse’s fights with whomever challenges him

Poor choices by his team left right and centre.

His team bowed down to Spence and Crawford for years, didn't want to upset the apple cart, now he sees the consequences, 30 fights no one has ever heard of him even though Breadman thinks he is a living legend in the making. NO SMOKE JOKE.

Hopefully his ass wins the lawsuit but he should've signed with the PBC in the first place. Showtime and Espinosa also dropped the ball

Not a good situation, the mismanagement of his career reminds of me what happened with Andrade.

Been thinking that Ennis' promoter has got to be absolutely garbage to mismanage his career this badly. If he'd gotten that many fights since 2019, even against cans, can't help but think that he'd be a much more viable opponent for Bud. Hope he wins this quickly so he can get into the ring.

Not surprised. He needs to quit listening to his dad. Boots needs to hire Bill Haney as a mgr. Haney has done great with his son. Bozy trained Boots great, but Boots needs to ignore his takes on business.
