Did Porter say Thurman is bigger than Tszyu?

Yeah, I think he said Thurman would be bigger. Thurman worked like a MoFo to keep to 147. As people have pointed out, Thurman's problem isn't size but age & extreme inactivity. Basically, he is making a comeback from 2 years out & going straight to Tim. That is.....brave,

Keith thurman is completley shot, if Tzsyu can't EASILY take care of him then he's not all he's been cracked up to be.

I expect Tzsyu to force a stoppage within 8 rounds.

Porter has been commentating in Australia on Tszyu fights so has probably been asked to say this for money...he has more sense than this...Thurman has always been fairly average and no version of him could beat Tszyu.

I love how some people in this thread say Tszyu is BASIC. Please explain what that even means? He doesn’t dance? He doesn’t run? He has a wide array of shots (uppercuts especially) and changes speed on his punches well. Plus he’s a fantastic body puncher and invests in it. He’s an aggressive come forward type of guy , not because he can’t box, but because there hasn’t been and may not be anyone out there who can withstand his firepower. He’s what a lot of the so called “nonbasic”, I guess , cant do - break a man’s spirit, body, and mind down like few others can.

lol they all see and know Thurmans boxing ability, Tim is hungry and strong but straight up and down he can be outboxed that's why they are leaning the way they are, the total disregard for Thurman is ******, he would beat Tims resume without much problems, it boils down to what has Thurman left, this isn't Ocampo or Mendoza neither could touch Keith.

I had to have a small bet on Thurman because of the odds, he is way better than the odds reflect, and I know Tim can be out boxed, my biggest concern for Thurman is can he hurt Tim, that's the real deal breaker, if he can buzz him and get respect he has a real good chance of pulling it out on the cards, if he cant Tim will walk through him in the later rounds.

He isn’t who he was. 35 and inactive as a fighter gets. I think Keith stays down from a body shot.

Folks tend to lean heavily towards their home town favorite without realistically assessing what their fighter brings to the table. Tim Tzysu is a decent fighter with a solid foundation of tools, but let's face it. He really hasn't been tested. Perhaps we can blame the 154 lb division. If you look at Tim Tzysu's resume, he's beaten fighters with decent records. But if you look at his opponent's opponents, they have terrible boxing records. Tzysu also has a loss on his resume against an okay fighter, at best. Tim Tzysu talks very boldly after his victories. But let's face it, he beating flawed fighters. Tony Harrison is a joke. And Mendoza and Ocampo are almost journey men. Even though Thurman may have the odds stacked against him, he actually has a resume that suggests that he can be the test that Tzysu could use at this stage in his career. Even though Thurman has been inactive and is older, he probably poses more of a threat than any of Tzysu's opponents this far...and Keith is going up in weight.

I don't think folks should be taking Thurman lightly.

Tim is undefeated. Who do you think he has a loss to?
