This fight is right down there with Shakira, Charlo, and both Ortiz and Lopez. Teo did some serious damage ti his brand. I really feel that this fight and the Stevenson fight need to be reasons why you cannot call ALL boxers "warriors"....such a crap night of "boxing".

I don't think anyone is using this fight or the last Shakur fight as a great example of defensive boxing. Those were ugly. But running does not apply to Willie Pep, Sweet Pea, PRETTY BOY Mayweather and many others who employ the sweet science of 'swimming without getting wet'. Ortiz easily outboxed Lopez, in a boxing match. Lopez lost. He knew it too, he cried after winning because he knew that he just lost again.

Lopez isn't a good boxer. He is a great athletic fighter with great reflexes who hits really hard. He doesn't know how to cut off the ring, he doesn't know how to adjust tactics, he doesn't understand alot of basic stuff. And he isn't even really slick.

He literally relies on his power and reflexes, he doesn't really seem to even understand much fundamentally about boxing. Which is pretty impressive. But the whole "Teo is crazy, it depends on which Teo shows up" is BS. He just isn't a good boxer, but his athleticism and power are so impressive that it makes people forget that.

I think his career will be short lived.

Yea all of this. He’s very Roy jones like in the sense that most of what makes him great is his reflexes and athleticism. Roy was obviously more skilled and more athletic but he also had ring IQ. Teo on the other hand just doesn’t seem to have any kind of game plan or at least a plan B. But like Roy, when Teos athleticism and reflexes dip, he will get beat bad.

one major flaw I see in teo is his inability to take constructive criticism. He shows it over & over. I saw it in the corner when his pops was trying to advise him & I saw it in the post interviews against Kambosos, Martin & Ortiz. He takes no accountability for his faults in the ring. He either goes on a bizarre rant or claims that everyone’s against him. That comes from his dad pumping up his head and not giving him enough tough love. He’s never gonna improve if he can’t accept that he’s doing something wrong. He has no jab and doesn’t know how to cut the ring off. Those 2 flaws will always be exploited by an above average boxer

Judging by the comments, seems like I was lucky to fall asleep and miss the fight lol. I'm not shocked that Teofimo had another difficult night in the office. Teofimo is going to avoid the Haney match-up for as long as possible. That's why he's talking about Matias instead, who's the more favorable match-up. Martin/Ortiz may not have been able to get the decision, but the blueprint is there on how to frustrate Teofimo and make him look his worst.
