I don't think he needs Canelo per se. He should be fighting Tim for the WBO/WBA vacant on that card. The hell with Thurman. That may leave 2 fights in his career to consolidate the division again. That is more than enough for his legacy. 154 is viewed as a tough division with no real financial rewards.
