Possible, but also looks like pure speculation, which makes you wonder why the same doesn't happen in other divisions in which the top guys fight each other regularly. For instance, the much maligned lighter divisions that the bigots on here like to make fun of, regularly have the top guys fight. And the cream rises to the top.
At 140, the guys who were ranked top 4 at the time are losing to former champs and contenders from lighter divisions, and playing primadonna and not fighting each other again or any of the new guys. That makes it abundantly clear that the only reason they fought at all was that they lucked into a World Super Series with the big cash prize pool. Otherwise they wouldn't have fought each other and they would have behaved like the run of the mill belt holders in other weak divisions.
