All promoters dream of a fighter who fails two PED tests and gets the biggest fight of his career cancelled, costing him considerable financial costs and damaging his public credibility beyond repair.

Exactly. BOXXER probably makes Eubank-Brook and leaves Benn without a domestic fight (if he can even fight domestically).

Gotta be in with marquee names to be a promoters dream. The only time Benn is linked with big names is in Eddie's IFL interviews.

Benn is becoming more and more irrelevant by the day. Unless he fights Eubank nobody really cares. He’s done nothing as a pro to warrant a big fight, just milking his Dad’s name for what it’s worth- which really isn’t that much outside of the UK.

I think people get a bit blinded by their disdain for Benn to the point that they really think he's a trash fighter. He's anything but a trash fighter. He hasn't fought big names yet, but he's looked like a top contender demolishing his better opposition as he moves up. He's a very big and strong WW. Devin Haney is the only fighter from that list who would be a solid favorite over Benn right now. Benn completely destroys Kell Brook, Eubank, Josh Kelly and Josh Taylor given their current form, and I would pick him to be a very live underdog against Abdul Wahid (who would never ever take that fight) because he's so much bigger.

most bizarre situation with him, if he can actually get this appeal over and done with, get back boxing in the uk and get a few good KO wins under his belt he will still make millions with eddies 'massive foits'

he should have just pleaded contamination and said it was 2 honest mistakes, blame whoever & taken his 6 month or whatever ban, he would have millions in the back as a result, i think

Maybe so but whatever version of Benn there is now is purely a product of PED use, there's no doubts about that. Do you not remember when Benn started his career - he barely made welterweight, he was more like a super lightweight plus he had poor punch resistance. Now suddenly there's talk of him taking fights at 160??

what credible opposition did Benn beat as he moved up and was clean? Formella was fringe European level at best, Samuel Vargas was a bum, he couldn't KO Granados, was clearly on PEDs for the Algieri and Van Heerden fights and then couldn't put a dent in that Mexican binman Orozco. For someone who constantly reminds us how he'll obliterate this and that opponent its a underwhelming record.
