The thing about Fury-AJ is that it probably would've happened even without Saudi involvement. It was always going to be huge in the UK so both guys would've wanted it, and they tried to make it happen in the past.
I do think Jai should stick to collecting belts vs the champions at his own weight for a while. He looks like the best cruiserweight but it still has to be proven.
None of the contenders at 175 look to be exceptional so the Bivol-Beterbiev winner might be low on obvious opponents. But the Saudis could always offer Canelo or Benavidez a big payday to step up.

Does it make any sense ?
This 1-1 record is the unified heavyweight champion

Both guys already expressed their will to move up, so I see no problem. The excellency is just following their fishes.

Which would make total sense with him saying he can make 168 comfortably for a fight vs Canelo

Still , imo , should be the boxers decision if they would like to or not
I don't see anything about this situation that says it'll go any differently. And I'm sure if Bivol wins & doesn't wanna move up to 200 some fans will dog him for that unfairly, but thats just how things go in any entertainment sphere. Some % of fans will be fickle about whatever road you take or don't take.

My point is , he’s gonna be the schoolyard bully , like say pushing us to accept a fighter with a 1-1 record and calling it realistic
Nah , sorry but this won’t end well
If we keep saying yes about everything , one day we’re gonna have to ask permission to chit in your own house
Iron rule comes to mind , think about it

but to the point, beating a guy with no current title, wouldn't make him any sort of unified anything

Why , cause guys will do it thinking of the money and only the money
Not If tomorrow I’m brain dead or a casualty
