I'd argue they're making & aiming for more of the fights ppl wanna see than Eddie or Al did in the same amount of time. Usyk vs Fury in Feb. Bivol vs Beterbiev in June. Turki was talking about Tank vs Devin in his last interview I saw the other day.

I have no problem actually with the fights themselves , yes they are making fights we would never see cause they don’t answer to anyone and they are dropping coin which the promoters don’t have or are not willing to dish out
Only time will tell where this will lead but I’ll say this if they don’t get some understanding of boxing rankings and weight divisions they will encounter problems in the near future
Imo , Ngannou should never be fighting , of course if he wins. , for the unified heavyweight championship after having a total of 2 fights
It’s a slap in the face to all boxers who work so hard to get to that point , meaning mma guy is getting this opportunity based on money not achievement

Outside of the Bivol CW thing idek what the weight division stuff has to do about anything. And it feels like you are making it bigger than it is. If Bivol signed a contract with them I'm sure hes implied if not stated outright he is or isn't interested in moving to 200 after Beterbiev. If he is or isn't thats his own choice to make. He won't be forced to fight Jai anymore than hes forced to fight Canelo or Beterbiev.

The rankings of boxing are awful. I'm pro-power brokers of boxing paying less attention to belt rankings. And I'm more pro-power brokers of boxing going for entertainment value & the fights ppl wanna see over everything else. No one gives a fook about the bs #1 belt mando who know one has seen fight & has fought no one to deserve a #1 spot besides abiding by a corrupt belt groups changing daily rules. When a #1 belt group guy legit deserves a belt fight I think fans tend to rally around them getting that shot like we see now with David B for an easy example.

Now would I rather boxing be about whos the best boxer, as someone who wants to know whos #1 at every weight? Sure. But its not what its about & idk that its ever been about that or ever will be. Its about entertainment. Its a business more than a sport for the ppl running things.

If this changes boxing and we get the biggest fights then I'm all for it ..
if this guy was into this back in 2009 to 11 we could have got pacquiao vs Floyd in their primes

Get the best in with the best and ngannou is a decent fight if you lot can't see that them you're just narrow minded

Turki is clearly a bit backward I think. I don’t think he understands the implications of weight classes. I’m ok with him investing in the sport and allowing an experienced promoter or matchmaker to select the fights like Warren has done for the two previous cards. However, I think it’s a terrible idea to let some mega rich Sheikh with no experience in boxing start putting fights together.

You do understand Hearn is in charge of most the match making right ? Don’t know about Furys card but it’s been Hearn they’ve been asking what fights to put on , still not sure what Warrens actual purpose is ,I guess just doing paper work and or getting selective fights made and helping put together Hearns cards ? Idk .
