I think the manor of victories should in some instances be placed above actual achievements. winning all of your 20 plus fights inside the distance is a phenomenal feat and based on that should merit a charge up the p4p list minimum within the top 3. Its hard going against Crawford and Inoue at places 1 and 2 but I'd say third place is up for grabs even if Usyk wins the undisputed at Heavyweight due to his level of competition at cruiserweight and controversies at heavyweight like Dubois' legit body shot.Comment

Its no different to any other division? Name me another division with an array of "top tier" names as you say? with the exception of Super Lightweight or maybe Super Middleweight there isn't any. All those names you mentioned were either respectable amateurs, regional champions or world champions - Beterbiev wiped them all out leaving 4 of the 5 fighters faces' covered in blood. what more do you want?Comment

P4P is dumb as hell because it can never be proved or disproved. I enjoy watching Beterbiev knock people out. Don't really care about hypothetical nonsense.Comment

I get what youre saying but 2x undisputed > 1xComment

Honestly Betterbieve resume sucks ass Benavidez at 25 has an equal or better resume already.
Lets take a look Betterbieve tops wins...Gvozdyk, Yarde, smith and callum
No better than Dirrell, Plant, Andrade.Last edited by Regge; 01-18-2024, 04:05 PM.Comment

Why do people rate relatively limited accomplishments in one division so highly? Virtually every one of Beterbiev's resume is what NSB usually calls a Eurobum if they're opponents of the big names. It's a better resume than some of the other names being bandied about here, but it's hardly in the realm of the top guys. He's way too inactive to have a good argument for top P4P. I think he's probably one of the best light heavies if he beats Bivol now, because Bivol's in his prime and Beterbiev isn't IMO.
I dislike all those punches behind the ear though. Watch some tape on the guy and count how many of his finishes were started by a shot behind the ear. Legal, for the most part, but still dirty and with the quantity of them, it's gotta be deliberate.
For me, he's in the same place as Spence before the Bud fight. Good accomplishments within one division, but he's got a big test ahead. Fortunately for him, Bivol isn't a destructive force like Bud.Comment
