Wilder's standing is done. The only way that it can get worse is if he loses to a C grade fighter.

So he won't take a 'rebuild confidence' fight because he could lose it. And he won't get paid much for that either.

He'd be better taking the biggest fight possible. Win and he's right back in things. Lose and he can just retire and say his passion has gone. His reputation would be exactly the same but his bank balance will be greater.

Or simply retire. But there's money in front of him that he might find hard to turn down.

I would assume the money offer if it's coming from the Saudis is still substantial. It's on him if he ducked that fight, especially when all he and Malik talked about in the last several months is the money part. Tuneups are even a waste of time for him now. Not only will he be expected to get paid less, but he might not even look good, or worse, lose. He should have taken the offer even if only for the money.

        complete hype job.
        Thank you!

also remember he almost got carried out vs 50 year old Ortiz, got knocked out then benefited from a long count by some bum called Sconiers (fight deleted from the internet) and floored by giga-bum Dustin Porter.

wilder was the biggest hype job we’ve ever seen in the sport of boxing.

          I don’t blame him though.

hes a confidence fighter and his confidence is totally shot now. Zhang would make short work of him.

Zhangs own trainer confirmed they were waiting on Wilder to sign and had a back up opponent who I’m assuming was Parker ? This entire interview from 9 days ago would obviously confirm the fight was trying to be made . It’s still not a duck though because Wilder has no obligation to fight Zhang .

It's still a duck, if the fighter in question is renowned for saying no one wants to fight him.

He calls it a gift and a curse. But this opportunity was for money he wouldn't find anywhere at this time, as well as an opportunity back into the mix.

                It was indeed, a duck.

                  I’d rather he goes away
He can take Fury and AJ with him
There goes all the drama and we can get fights
Whether you like AJ or not he has shown every willingness to fight anyone.
wilder was pure hype and consequently Fury got too much credit for beating him (as others have pointed out in this thread). Those two are vastly hyped and have been exposed for the lies, ducking and poor performances they have given us this last while - when they’re not just inactive.
fury will never fight AJ. If you can’t spot who is the liar and who has a record of fighting champions and top guys - then you’re out of touch with reality. Everyone knows Fury is a flake, and Wilder is a hype job.
can’t see where Wilder goes from here: he will only want a soft touch but that won’t do anything for him money wise or getting him back in the picture.
Huggie Fury has that last name brand recognition and would be beatable - but as crap as HF is Wilder still might chicken out.

Wilder looks like he might be done with boxing after losing to parker. There is no duck here. He keeps talking about his investments constantly and stuff shows where his mind is at.

AJ I always liked that’s before his losses made him a little crazy
His nuthugging fans is what brought any dislike I have of him with their craziness of him being the greatest thing since sliced bread
All the drama those three have caused is total bullchit and that is why , if they go away maybe we can get back to boxing , getting the fights we deserve
AJ beating Wallin is not gonna to bring him back to the top , he has an uphill. battle especially if he loses to mma guy
