atleast we dont have to hear about jake paul anymore, he is busy padding his record with minimally promoted undercard fights for now.

Over a month into 2024 and, despite lots of noise on social media, only two of the guys in the list have a fight scheduled: Romero and Lopez. Each of those is more a marking time fight than anything meaningful for their respective divisions.

Whilst Crawford gloats about Teo's bad performance, he still has no fight of his own arranged. 196 days and counting since his last.

His trainer can talk about "muh nothing to the table" about Boots all he likes, but he brings a fight - any fight - to the table, which is better than being an inactive social media addict.

Is Bud effectively retired if Canelo won't give him a fight?

As much as this US dominated forum likes to deride fighters as "Eurobums" and anyone from outside the US really, it seems most of their fighters are inactive social media addicts who spend more time talking about "muh A side", "muh split" than doing any actual fighting.

The following list of American social media addicts can be counted on to derail many fights in 2024, with "muh A side", "muh split" as the likely excuse:
          • Terence Crawford.
          • Errol Spence.
          • Both Charlo twins.
          • Teofimo Lopez.
          • Ryan Garcia.
          • Gervonta Davis.
          • Shakur Stevenson.
          • Jaron Ennis.
          • Andy Ruiz.
          • Rolando Romero.
          Anyone I missed?
It's a sign of the times, man. These are all younger guys who spent much of their lives with a smartphone in their hands. They don't know any better, you might be old timey like me for even noticing this.

And yes, Fury is the worst. I took a break from boxing last year because I was tired of his fat bald head yapping with no fights happening.
Exactly how do you think that "Americans" can "get their guys fighting frequently"? Just cuz we live in the same continent doesnt mean they listen to me.

Like, what does Fury say when you call and lay out your plan for him?

Crawford's team claims they're going after Canelo. Apparently, that's not going to happen anytime soon because there's nothing out there that indicates negotiations are taking place. Seems they're on a waiting mode and not actively looking for fights. They're waiting for offers and nothing is coming their way.

Starving them of attention unless they're doing something substantive might be an approach.

Nothing, I more or less ignore the guy unless he's in the ring. And even then only if it's a fight worth watching.

This is why I asked the question "Is Bud effectively retired if Canelo won't give him a fight?"

That's the same thing I do here. But they all just keep doing the same old antics. It's a shame what it has become. That's wherr the ypunger generation takes it. In a lot of ways, it's like mma is where the fighters go (which i dont watch) and now boxing attracts/rewards the primadonnas.

Tank's reposting of contracts and private conversations is immature in the extreme. Smartphone/social media culture is engendering manchildren, the guy is nearly 30.
