Totally agree but it was Canelo who started these rumours some time ago
You recall when his nutheuggers had him going all the way to heavyweight

Yer but those posters are just taking the piss as for Canelo actually saying that well i assume it was maybe after his Kovalev win?

I dont know maybe he felt supremely confident and was in his prime back then it might of made sense but not now.

It was still a bloody good win tho moving up to 175 and facing a fading champ.

Well yes it was not the Kovalev that fought Ward but it was still a good win for Nelo.

                  • Putting my bets on yesterday I intended to go with an Artur KO in 8 or 9.. Changed my mind at last minute and went with 7 or 8. I’m a happy man this morning.

                      No. It's British fighters.

Hearn and Warren are the BEST promoters in the world at finessing the rankings and getting these B- level guys into title shots without fighting all the hard fights that they should have to to get there.

As a result British boxing suffers and to be honest so does world boxing.

The British domestic scene is weak, the European boxing scene is weak, and because these guys keep getting to bypass both of those "leagues" and going straight into the premiership, we get pointless fights like last night.

I'm sick to death of seeing the elite of world boxing vs a Smith Brother or Josh Warrington, a Daniel Dubois or Lee Selby. And getting told by "experts" on the BBC that the hapless brit has "a genuine chance"

These guys shouldn't be in the same venue as Bertebiev or someone of that ilk even on the undercard let alone fighting them!

It would be better for British and world boxing if these guys fought the opponents they were supposed to and only the very best British fighters got world title shots.

Which would mean about 90% less brits in pointless world title fights.
