  • Sources say Inoue and Nery have signed for a title bout in Tokyo

    https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/...tle-bout-tokyo

Inoue didn't waste any time. Already moving ahead with those top fights. Nery [35-1(26)] has past history with Japan, what with failing drug tests and missing weight in the course of knocking out beloved champion Shinsuke Yamanaka. He was banned from Japan for life, in theory, but I guess Inoue has the pull to get that lifted so the Japanese have a chance to watch their greatest boxer knock him out. Nery is a two weight champion, so there's been call to face him before.

Wish more fighters handled their careers like Inoue.

Easy work for Inoue, especially if Nery is actually drug tested.

I know they need money these days but personally I'm kinda pissed off that JBC decided to pull the ban on that cheating unprofessional POS Nery who basically blatantly admitted to coming in overweight on purpose with zero willingness to abide by the rules. Let him fight in USA with 1/10th of the money he'd get in Tokyo.

Oh well, I guess just like every other boxing org JBC is moved by money. I hope they put in the heaviest penalties for missed weight and doping and the turd POS Nery gets a beating of his life, because I have zero faith he is going to come in without doing the same crap.

Or just maybe Inoue doesn't wanna fight in America.

IF I'm Nery ill tell the guy to come to the states neutral territory enough with this BS homefield advantage for some guys. Just imagine how difficult it would be to get a decision over him in Japan, Nery could dominate 12-0 and end up with a draw.

                100%.

I think that letting the Japanese fans watch Nery get knocked out has something to do with it too. Regardless, props to Inoue for making the fight, and doing it so quickly too.

If I am going to begrudgingly accept the fact that the de****able POS Nery was stepping his foot on a ring in Japan, I guess it would be that people get to see the POS crumble to the floor in person.

But geez...this sucker really got off with zero consequences from his antics, and the fact that some turd on his team was like "I mean, the penalty was too harsh..." tells me not just POS Nery but his whole team basically is fully accepting the fact that he will come in overweight.

He's fought in America multiple times, in fact more than Nery has fought outside North America (pleasd don't give me the BS that Nevada and Texas and Cali is a hostile territory for a Mexican expecially fighting an Asian).

You don't have to worry about a decision, Nery is going to either get KOed early or try to pull a Butler and get KOed late.
