A few days ago Eddie Hearn dropped 3 names as possible opponents for Joshua’s next fight: Hrgovic, Zhang, and Ngannou.

The cynical among us suggested that Hearn would pick the easiest one. And sure enough Ngannou got the call.

I’m assuming your stance is all of the above fighters you’ve mentioned there are assuredly on PEDs right?

I’d respect Joshua if he had fought Zhang who just destroyed Joe Joyce twice. But I knew that was the riskiest opponent and thus the least likely to get chosen.

He should have fought your mancrush Hrgovic at least.

Boxers aren't going to turn down generational wealth level paydays if offered them to "get the respect" of forum dwellers.

The Ngannou fight makes the most sense if you are AJ, and tbh there is an upside for boxing fans that AJ "should" knock this guy out and shut the MMA fans up for a while.

Interesting to see Hearn not mention Hrgovic and instead put the focus back on a Fury - AJ fight for "the undisputed title". Winning a vacant IBF title would be pretty hollow so this is good news.
