Thurman and Stanionis were already scheduled to fight. They were just stranded due to PBC/Showtime still sorting things out before the fight got canceled. No reason why it won't be rescheduled. Therefore, Ennis won't be getting Thurman, Stanionis. Crowley vs Barrios will likely to be made, as already mentioned. Spence and Crawford won't be there for him either. So who is left for him at PBC?

He could either continue waiting around for this year or take 3 stay-busy fights to increase his visibility. Of course, the question will always be which 3 names Ennis' camp would be interested in staying busy with?

I'm sure Santillan would fight him. Dude just crushed a fellow top 10 WW in fan friendly style. Him and Boots would be a fun fight, and that actually is a step up for Boots.

I hear people saying that no one wants to fight Boots. Really? He is that feared? Villa took him ten rounds and landed some good shots. Ennis out talented him, but before that Karen took Ennis the distance. that is B level comp. Not even saying that Ennis won't demolish Santillan or Staninois, but they aren't scared of him. it ain't like Boots walked in and destroyed Villa in two rounds. I think some of the "no one will fight Boots" hype is coming from his own people.

Ii would say he was extremely busy chasing Canelo , fighting guys like Geale or Rubio making sure not to screw anything up for a soon to be 2017 finally ( lol ) fight with Canelo
That is why besides hardcore GGG fans , some discredit his career
Could of built his own legacy while Canelo was aging him out
Downward spiral or not , I thought he won that first fight
I always liked Golovkin, I think he was the real deal in his prime despite the lack of fierce competition. Guys were flat out afraid of him. Tbf nobody was chomping at the bit to get in the ring with him. People like to bring up Ward but the fact is Ward wasn’t active at 168 when GGG was the boogeyman at 160. & when he did return he moved up to 175.

and it wasn’t only Canelo he chased, it was all the belt holders. Sergio & Cotto shamelessly ducked him. I can’t fault the guy for the lack of competition at 160 & 168. And I appreciate the fact that he was fighting 3-4x a year regardless of the competition, it was just nice to see a guy active & crushing them all. Boots on the other hand is fighting once a year against absolute no hopers. It’s just not the same.

I liked GGG until I realized he only had Canelo on his radar
He began like a lion but finished like putty cat lol
Sergio and Cotto had bigger fish to fry at the time
GGG could of made his own path and imo would of gotten Canelo sooner
That said , Canelo knew he was getting followed by the puppy and played it the way he wanted it played out
GGG made a ton of money so hey maybe he is content of his career but in boxing circles he’s not looked upon all that good

              “Step up” for Boots! Seriously!
Barrios got KO’c by Tank and lost to Thurman. Boots will annihilate him. This is not a contest at all.

Yes, I define it as a step up not because I believe it’ll test boots, I’m with you I think boots wins and comfortably but reason I label this opponent as a step up is because he would be the best fighter up until now that boots has faced.

Before he fought Villa, most people here said that was a “huge” step up for Boots. It wasn’t
After destroying Barrios, another “step up” fighter will be brought up.

he can only fight those willing to fight him. I’m sure team boots is choosing the top guy that is willing to Step up to him.
