I don't disagree with you, but it is not as easy as you think. And that's my point, we all want him to fight better competition, agbeko went the full fight eith shiskin, I think you mention him before, another well regarded prospect, Morell jr just knock him out in two, I think is dome value in comparing the result with another high prospect. In reality we don't know if they doing this by design or if they haven't been able to secure him a fight with a name, one thing for sure, none of the prospects nor the the top guys including canelo and benavidez has face the type of competition in their first 10 fights, that DMJ has.

Based on them fighting top 30-50 guys (boxrec ranked) for the last 2yrs its clearly by design. No one in boxing history has ever had THAT many ppl not wanting to fight a guy on the way up still that I'm aware of. Esp a guy whos passing the eye test more than the strength of schedule test. And like I said previously in our other conversation thats probably not a bad move to still be fighting no name guys for longer with so few fights.

I just feel like Morrell is more ready to fight better guys than his team is. Talk is one thing action is another & its harder to lie in your actions. And tbc I think Morrell would fight anyone tomorrow, I don't think his team, in their actions, are as ready as he is. And to be fully fair I think a lot of boxers got teams who are less ready for risk than they are so this situation ain't something unusual or rare.

The same thing that happened when floyd, SRL, Duran and countless other cash cow retired, another one will emerge, actually it would be a good thing if ginger's retires, he's holding the SMW division hostage milking his status against the less dangerous opponents. By the way, he ain't fighting the real threats at his weight, charlo is a 154 pounder and yildrim is not a threat, bivol is, but he is at 175lbs, and we all know it was miscalculation.

He is pursuing benavidez, which on paper is the second ranked SMW, won't be a miscalculation, he just has to sign the paperwork and jump in the ring. And again, check your idol resume in his first ten fights, look who he was fighting.

Guys like Boots & David B moved up more gradually as they got to David M's level is the difference. Granted they had the more customary prospect trajectory with more bs fights early, but the reality is once you are under the brighter lights the expectations change regardless if you got to the brighter lights in 15-20 fights or 5 fights.

What you or I think of Gongora is less important than what indie rankings thought of him & they thought he was the #5 (tbrb) at 168. I would consider Gongora a favorite over Sena, Falcao, Aidos or Caceres so yea I'd consider him better.

Andrade, Plant, Dirrell, if he can get a fight against Munguia or Berlanga. He needs better name wins and name fighters.

If he fights one of those guys and loses the excuse will be that he really didn't face anyone of did not have enough experience.

Dirrell is shot and doesn't look to be continuing. Andrade has just come from getting stopped by Benavidez and is moving back down to 160. Munguia isn't going to touch him with a barge pole as he only looks for opponents that are in a vulnerable position. So that leaves Berlanga and Plant. Do any of them want a piece of Morell? It doesn't look like it to me. Therefore, what else can he do?

Rohan is ranked #15 on boxrec, which is higher than anyone David M has fought thus far. I won't pretend to know a whole lot about him tho, but the only guy he's lost to in 12yrs is Zack Parker who was probably close to being an indie top ten guy til he sh^t the bed vs Ryder. There's levels to this sport from rookie guys all the way to #1 & right now however talented anyone thinks Morrell is or isn't he's stuck on fighting these top 30-top 50 boxrec guys for 2yrs & I think he easily should be fighting better guys. I don't even know what we are debating here. Morrell should be fighting guys ranked as high as Rohan is all ik. Morrell fighting any guy below is a step up for him. I'm sure SOMEONE is down.

The second 2 dangerous opponents emerged as options at 168 and the line of British “champions” no longer existed for Canelo, he suddenly decided that junior middleweights were deserving of title fights at 168, he suddenly walked back his claims of not wanting to fight a Mexican as munguia is now a top option for him. If Canelo was a true chaser of greatness like he and his fans claim he is, these next 2 fights would be vs Benavidez and Morrell as the 168 division is weak otherwise. But we all see that he’ll avoid those threats at all costs.

Benevidez would bring two Mexican warriors into a war zone!!! Bring it!
