Inoue is a once in a generation type of talent. A rare thing, the full package.
He could be the most dominant fighter at 108-122, EVER. Better than the legendary Lopez or Chocolatito.

It's ridiculous that some idiots say he needs to prove himself. It's nothing but trolling based on racism, jealousy, or ignorance.

And who cares what Tarver says.
Most everyone in the game have Inoue & Crawford 1A or 1B, interchangable. Maybe that's the right answer, without putting down the other guy.

Comparably, Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson rate Inoue P4P #1 over Crawford.
Should we start a thread on that? They're both better than Tarver by a mile. lol.

Inoue is definitely the p4p#1 right now...Bud Crawford WAS the no.1 fighter in the world following his victory over Spence and up until Inoue's fight last week. However, Inoue has become UNDISPUTED champion in 2 weight classes in the space of a YEAR by STOPPAGE including a dominant victory over a previously undefeated fighter in Fulton which cannot go unnoticed. Case closed.

However, if Usyk topples Fury then I would rank him above both Inoue + Crawford.

Buds never been no1 pfp. He needs to best charlo and Tim tsue at 154 in first fight to take him serious he takes too long. Inoue done more in 26 fights than bud has done in 40 fights, and needed over 15 years to do it.

Imagine being in Inoue's division, fighting him and getting caught in an exchange like that vs Inoue. You may not get up....

Dont get me wrong, I rate Bud extremely highly and he would've been great in any era in my opinion, but let's not talk nonsense and talk about one fighters flaws and complete ignore the flaws of another fighter.

They're two of the most well rounded fighters in boxing today when they're completely on it.

Inoue's flaws usually appear when he is way too eager to make a statement and get someome out of there. But when he actually boxes, his skills are top notch, as the Fulton fight showed with his incredible jab and movement that night.
His best win was against a very flawed, underperforming and mid-at-best, fulton. Inoue has a poor active guard that caused him to get his orbital bone and nose broken against an old fart who had multiple losses, poor layering/selection of offence against a bum in his most recent fight for undisputed that caused him to get tagged up. Bud is nowhere this bad and recovered very fast to beat and dominate mean machine. Crawford never had a close or controversial wins in any fight. Inoue is not well rounded. He falls apart when pressured and just backs up holding his guard. Crawford could weather the storm, counter and still turn things around very fast. They are not in the same league. Puh-lease....don't make me laugh.

            @hugh_grant

Disagree...Bud destroyed Spence who was an undefeated, top 5 p4p fighter at the time in a one-sided beatdown becoming the FIRST man in history to win 2 UNDISPUTED titles in the modern four-belt era. Therefore, he was definitely p4p#1 in my book following that fight and up until Inoue bested him by achieving the same feat in the space of a YEAR (instead of 6 years like Bud).

Inoue has no controversial wins either...

He took some damage vs Donaire but it was a clear win in the end.

He took serious damage (broken bones in different places), crawford was never this hurt. Try harder.

Lmao stop hating…if you want to play that game Bud got dropped by mediocre Mean Machine and had his cage rattled by the much smaller Gamboa whilst also doing the stanky leg. Neither of which has ever happened to Inoue. In other words, ALL fighter’s have flaws as there’s no such thing as ‘the perfect fighter’.

Crawford, Inoue + Usyk all have an equal claim to the p4p#1 spot and it’s literally a coin toss as to who is the superior fighter.

Its a coin toss. I think Crawford is probably the best skilled fighter in the sport but his activity has let him down 1 fight per year for the last few years. Just not good enough

So i have no problem with inoue being ranked number 1

Mean machine and gamboa never even hurt crawford badly and still got dominated. It's like crawford recovered so fast that it didn't matter. Crawford never had any serious injury. Inoue had a serious injury and was getting tagged by way lesser competition. Exposed again.
