Youll find Bud was the fighter who people criticised for not doing much. Even Spence belittled Bud before fighting him. When Bud wanted to be above Nelo in the pfp rankings he was ridiculed.
Spence wasn't a top pfp fighter. He was one of the best WW fighters. To be a top pfp fighter you need to dominate good fighters in your division so easily that people think you need to step up for competition and people predict youd do well in 2 or 3 divisions more. Spence satisfied basically none of that criteria.

Spence definitely belongs in the top 5 at that time. He has beaten many good names handily. If spence doesn't belong there by your logic, inoue sure as hell doesn't belong there either because inoue hasn't done anything great.

You certainly got lower standards for bud than inoue. You don't mind bud campaigning in his 3rd weight class for 5 years before showing he's no1, but you will try justifying your disingenuous behaviours of thought by saying how amazing spence is, so bud is allowed to take 5 years to best him and not be penalised in someway?

Lb for lb isn't and has never been a resume comparison but solely ones opinion on who would win in a head to head match if all things were equal. So it doesn't matter how many lineal titles Crawford
has or how many divisions Inoue won belts in.

If you think Crawford would beat any man given they were equal in weight than he's your lb for lb. And of you think Inoue would beat any man if equal in size than he's your on for Lb #1.

And even that is nonsense because not everything can be equal once you apply and realism to the situation. Your body size and biomechanics dictate the way you fight.

So if Inoue was 175lbs, does he still have the same speed?If Wilder is 5'5" and 122lbs, does he have that leverage and power? No.

No, of course not. You can't even adjust the decline in speed relative to the increase in size because that's totally ignoring the fact the biomechanics completely change, so your style of fighting would change because you're basically not the same person anymore. If you're a flyweight, you couldn't have that work rate at heavyweight without needing an oxygen tank, so you couldn't possibly fight in the same style.

That's why p4p is a load of nonsense. It's no different to creating 2 characters in a game, making all their attributes equal and calling them Inoue and Crawford and pretending its real.

that's why basing p4p on "if they were equal size" is illogical. It defies all logic and science and realism.

all it should be based on is who is dominating their own realistic weight classes around them in the best fashion within the sport.

Inoue has beaten zero currently ranked P4P fighters.

Crawford became lineal at lightweight from the Raymundo Beltran fight. At the time of the fight the lineal lightweight title was vacant and the two were ranked #1 and #2 by The Ring, TBRB, and almost every other source. Beltran was coming off some good wins and what everyone considered a bogus draw (everyone had Beltran winning) against none other than Ricky Burns at the time. Beltran took Crawford the distance in a loss and then won his next 6 fights including a WBO world title he later lost to Jose Pedraza. And considering Beltran popped for PEDs in his next fight after the Crawford loss, Crawford probably beat a cheating version of Beltran.

Thanks for that info. I dont follow lineal enough to be up to speed on whats what. And I'm guilty of sometimes treating "lineal" and "undisputed" as interchangeable terms, which they are not
