As good as he is he simply has to be active with the correct fighters.

I don’t mind Inuoe getting FOTY, but it’s no question Crawford fought the higher ranked, more celebrated champion out of a list of Spence, Fulton, and Tapales. Should be a close race. Let’s see if the significance and size of Bud v Spence is enough to edge the extra fight Inuoe had. Both of them became 2 division undisputed champs this year , so they both had amazing accomplishments.
The Monster fought Fulton, I highly proven top fighter. Bud has only one inactive Spence.

Fulton is no where near Spence’s level though.

No one has a win as impressive as Crawford this year.

Please give it to Inoue, when boxers self pro claim it's over. Bud knows he's not done enough.
1 win by bud isn't equal to 3 wins by Inoue. Inoue won't self proclaim and say he's worthy of foty though, he will let boxing decide. Bivol might be no2.

Yep Bud is my fighter of the year. Inoue was fantastic, wining divisional crowns in 2 weight classes. But Buds total domination of a lb for lb top 5 fighter was the performance of the year and in my eyes, makes him fighter of the year.

Spence's next fights will determine how impressive that win actually was. I get the feeling we won't see that rematch, and nobody really wants to see it. It was far too one-sided for me to believe that Spence is really that good, at least at this stage post-accident.

1 fight in an entire year isn't enough.

                    yes exactly

spence was inactive with eye and other issues and when he said he didnt want or need a warmup that was a big red flag, cryin did the same in the tank run up, its not usually a good sign at all

i would like to see spence in a good fight at 154 and ngannou in a good boxing fight, that would make issues clearer i would say
