You can't wait for people if you actually want to smell those flowers or hear that recognition.
"The People" love to wait to dole out praise until athletes and entertainers are either too senile to remember their own name or dead.
So I applaud Crawford for opening his mouth before his grandchildren have to speak for him.

For me, Inoue is the Fighter of the Year but I'm ok if anyone has TC as their Fighter of the Year. It's definitely not Haney IMO

To be fair he was pretty humble or at least quiet through his career and never given credit. Especially since he got to w.w and beat benavidez who only had a good leg (not an excuse) then stopped porter (people said he was done) then ktfo spencerina then people made excuses that were never made before until Crawford whooped him. They said da car acsident doe, he wuz dehydrated.

I never rated spencerina so highly so crawford winning wasnt a surprise. The way he won though was.

That said I think inoue should get it

              Too inactive. Inoue does it.

Ah, it's not important to name a fighter of the year. We can give credit to all those who did well.

I'd probably say Inoue, but I guess it's like the pound for pound debate, opinion.

It's a toss up between Inoue and Crawford really depends on what you're valuing. Crawford is the only fighter this year to beat a fighter ranked within the top five pound for pound while Inoue secured undisputed at super Bantamweight.

I don't understand how people think Inoue is way ahead of Crawford in the fighter of year debate not do I understand the negativity around Crawford.

Why isn't it close? It seems close in my opinion.

Fighting once a year doesn't even matter in this sport. Three fights a year should be standard. Fighting once a year just basically means you're ducking 2 fights.
