Realistically though, its never going to happen and Boots will just go belt collecting and contender smashing on his way to undisputed as he should at this point.
No he doesn't lol. Hes sub 50%.

Boots went to 2 decs early in his career (4 & 6rds iirc) & has knocked out everyone except that track star since. Including several guys who've seldom been stopped before or since & a few who've only been stopped by Boots. If you wanna dig Boots' resume, like a lot of folks did to RJJ when some ppl couldn't grasp how badass he was either, thats fair cuz no one throws the scary guy who doesn't sell yet opportunities vs names, but his power is very real.

Bud's resume ain't THAT great either lets be serious. Ok hes collected a lot of belts but vs who? Ricky Burns, Indongo, Jeff Horn. Til Bud beat Showtime Shawn, who we later learned wanted to retire yrs early & had chronic injuries, & Errol, who a lot of ppl believe hasn't been the same guy since his car accident & had cutting weight issues, was looking great vs guys few were hyped about him fighting too.

Not saying he doesn't have power, there are levels to it and I need to see him against better comp. His resume just isn't that good right now and he should move on from delusions about Bud and build it while he yung doe.

Problem is that fight does nothing for Crawford.

He's chasing all timers right now and Boots doesn't have anything Crawford wants. If Crawford becomes lineal champion at 154 he becomes a 4 division lineal champion. Literally only Mayweather and Pacquiao have done that in the history of boxing. That's what Crawford is focused on doing with the remainder of his career.

If it's not going to happen. it feels useless making predictions.

Unless his opponent’s name is Viktor Postol.

lmao 4 division lineal champion vs who? All time greats are judged by who they actually fought and beat not this paper glory which is designed to fool casuals like you. Beating a highly rated young lion like Boots would be a more impressive achievement that beating anyone at 154 for any belt imo.

Yeah, that much is true. They both will need an outside investor to put the money up in order for them to fight; Especially Terence Crawford.

There is still no guarantee that Bud takes the fight anyhow. However If he is offered a boat load of money then perhaps the fight will be a go.

Yeah that much is true. How old was Bud back then; 26 or 27? He did use a lot of movement in that fight.

Crawford does everything better. Only thing that he doesn't have is youth on his side.
