well wilder used to actually throw and TRY to get the knockout 5 years ago. I dont see the "story the same" at all. as in going to a decision. wilder would KO parker or get KOd trying to.

He used to try against lesser opposition that didn’t hit back very hard. No guarantees he would have tried anything after getting hit flush by Parker ever. The third best guy Wilder ever fought was Ortiz and Wilder was pretty tame until Ortiz tired.

It quite easy to look good against the opposition Wilder faced until cherry picked unretired Fury. There is a reason he fought about 40 dummies before stepping up and this result against Parker was predicted years and years ago by countless followers of the sport. Wilder just never faced anyone good enough to do it until now.

Parker would easily have been his best win. However turns out Wilder isn’t good enough to get that W. A well built hypejob with a paper thin resume, it turns out.

Was there really a lot of difference from the Wilder who fell behind to Ortiz then knocked him out, to the Wilder who fell behind to Parker but couldn't land that fight ending shot? If your game plan is to land one low percentage bomb, then some days are going to be like that. Parker got hit with a couple of decent shots but he kept his composure and remained defensively responsible.

I like watching Wilder fight. True, he didn't land the bomb but the whole fight, even the last round, there was that specter that at any moment, he might.

Parker was way to savvy to just walk into wilders right hand. He stuck to the gameplan off being first to punch but not being greedy and making sure he was out of range straight after.

lol Deontay wasn't boxing.

That's all he was trying to do. he was entirely relying on landing on that right hand. but Parker was either too far away or too close. did not give Wilder any good looks for the right hand.
