Slow down there - let's remember Manny's run at the lower weights was outstanding with wins over multiple hall of famers.

I don't think he was playing with his food, but I'm getting the impression that for possiblo the first time in his career Inoue was more focused on making history over defeating the opponent if it makes sense.

Just to note this guy is being sarcastic and trying to act like a delusional Inoue fan. He had quite a different attitude in the live fight thread.

Inoue had to pull a lot more tools out this fight. Saw a lot more varied defensive skills we usually don't see from Inoue, and Inoue was having to use shifts and step arounds to get angles to land offense. Tapales landed some great shots on Inoue too. Credit to Tapales for making Inoue have to pull into the more advanced skills. Inoue has such a complete toolbox that he's able to make those adjustments though. Amazing fighter.

Also amazing that some posters can't see the difference and recognize that Inoue had to fight a different fight for only maybe the second time in his career. Some people really don't know anything about boxing.

Inoue is P4P #1 now. FOTY.

You can't deny him moving up to 122, beating the #1 & #2 guys & unifying all belts for the second time.

Bum fight. No credit for beating a bum who is incompetent.

Manny has cemented his legacy and retired

Inoue is creating a fantastic legacy and still going

In the end its not important, both great fighters. I think Inoue possibly has better ability though.

Calm down…despite being the same height, Pacquiao is an 8 division world champion vs. 4 divisions for Inoue. Therefore, he still has some way to go before reaching Pacquiao’s level of greatness.

Someone in another thread mentioned that the order of mandatories was Nery, MJ then Goodman so in that case Nery???
