Do you still think Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder would be a good fight to watch?

That being said he’s got natural gifts being 6”7 and fast he could use this for more fights and should get back up to a real fight weight fir someone his height and age which is really no less then 225 .Last edited by juggernaut666; 12-24-2023, 05:20 PM.

I think the fight lost SOME luster, but it’s still a good fight. I think if Parker had KO’ed Wilder, he would’ve definitely destroyed this fight.
It’s way more interesting than when Mayweather fought Judah after he lost to Baldomir or when Pacquiao fought Morales in the rematch after Morales lost to Raheem.
I think the excitement level and the hype of the KO is still there for Wilder-Joshua.

We would all watch it
But I dont think theres any doubt Wilder is shot now. You simply don't recover from those beatings Fury gave him, then add in the fact he's 38 and barely fights anymore. There's only one way to go from there and its downhill. But thats the reality of boxing. No doubt AJ will be at that point at 38 too. It happens to them all.
A few years ago I'd have picked Wilder all day to beat AJ. He would close the range too fast for him and land, but at 38 he can't close the range like he once did and actually looks a bit gun shy, which happens when punchers have been knocked out like he was. If Wilder was just outpointed by Parker but still looked dangerous then I'd be more optimistic for a good fight but the fact he looks gun shy isn't a good sign, especially when his game is based around being the opposite of that.
Its still a big fight on name value alone though but that's about it.Last edited by deathofaclown; 12-28-2023, 08:27 PM.shwaap likes this.

I'll still watch Joshua v Wilder. I don't think Wilder was ever really at Joshua's level... but Joshua still needs his name. And seeing those two coming out of opposite corners will still be a big buzz moment.
It will be a weird 'end of an era' type of fight and, who knows, maybe Wilder rewrites his own history with a win.

Both are finished. Put Joshua in front of Fury and he is dead.
No worth for PPV. But, I would watch it for fun.

Wilder is done in my opinion, at 38 he's not going to improve because physically he's only going to get worse each fight and let's be real here he is too arrogant to actually ****ing learn some new skills and veteran tricks that might extend his career somewhat. He's done.
AJ, he's got probably a 24 month window to make a last run at things and see if he can get it right and become a 3x champ. But another slip up is likely the end of him.
As far as a fight between them, I don't know, to be honest if for some reason AJ can't get the fight with Hrgovic for the vacant/mando spot then sure... I guess.
I mean the only intreague in the fight would be will AJ make a ****** mistake and get clipped, and that's not very likely due to how switched on he is these days. In all likelihood it'd be a brutal beatdown and the first proper, out stone cold loss of wilders career.
