Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder 'Not At All' Concerned About Inactivity, Ring Rust Entering Joseph Parker Fight

Deontay Wilder has fought less than one round in bouts that count over the past 26 months. The former WBC heavyweight champion knocked Robert Helenius cold in the first round of Wilder's only fight since his

A bad match up for most inc. Joe , who gets caught and as Wilder proves time after time he has the equaliser . I hope the improved Joe wins and he's certainly got power himself to do the job , but I've lost enough money betting against Wilder to realise my nonsense !

I respect the world class athlete that trains hard as that is what he is, but and its a very big but...

He's not been seriously punched in the face for over 2 years. That's gonna take some getting used to again.

How has he trained for getting buzzed and fighting through it ?

Helenius in his brief cameo had wilder giving him the look. That look he was giving Fury as Tyson was eating his soul. That very same look AJ has when eating a hard shot to then go into his shell.

That look Parker will recognize from his match with AJ and hopefully capitalize on to end Wilders night and possible career.

He should be if he isn't. I give Parker a fair chance in this fight simply because Wilder is much older and has been away from the ring.

Im sure Wilder cracked the heavy bags ribs, concussed the pads and put a dent in the speedball's head but none of them punched back.

Its gonna be a different story when Parker lights him up with combos.

Wilder literally wont know what hit him when Malik sc****s him off the canvas.

            Parker UD.

Wilders only chance is if Parker gets greedy with the combos and goes for a KO.

If he can't beat Parker, rust or no rust, he should just retire from boxing forever. Parker is absolutely trash.

Only if you're a delusional fanboy. Parker has no power, no heart, no stamina, and no desire to win. Ever since he showed up and turtled for 12 rounds against Joshua he's just been a punching bag.

Wilder has to believe that. He doesn't have any choice.

But I reckon Parker would have been a problem for any version of Wilder. Parker is a decent heavyweight - that means he's better than anyone Wilder has beaten.

It's a proper test for Wilder. My money is on Joe. Wilder has his usual puncher's chance but I think Parker is good enough to stop him around 8.
