Either way, I blame Spence for all this fiasco and waste of time because he was delusional enough to activate the rematch clause to begin with. After his putrid ownage Spence should've accepted the fact that he's got absolute no chance of winning against Crawford in an immediate rematch, and just gone another route to prove he was still worth fighting again. And if it ends up not happening at all, then he never should've activated it to begin with because that way there was a possibility that Ennis got a chance to immediately negotiate a fight in the December-February time frame instead of Spence wasting it around.

What should've happened is that Spence realized he can't win an immediate rematch and don't activate rematch, instead goes up to 154 to fight Tszyu for a belt so he can prove that he is still worth a rematch unrelated to the clause. In the mean time Crawford fights Boots just to show him he's not ready yet, then vacates all the 147 belt to go up to fight the winner of Tszyu/Spence for the belt. If Spence had won, he would've been able to redeem himself and gotten his rematch. If he lost to Tszyu, then doesn't change the fact he was not worth fighting.

I mean, whether it happens/happened in December or February, and whether it be 147 or 154, do you personally see any sliver of a chance for Spence to win an immediate rematch after his beating? I saw ZERO, NADA, NOTHING.

This makes no sense Ennis was the mandatory for the IBF Why the hell would he go over to the WBO that makes no sense

Well, I blame Crawford, not Spence.

Crawford could have signed and accepted ALL terms from Spence way back November of 2022, which likely wouldn't have had a rematch clause at all. He didn't. The result: Spence having to drain longer than he should have had to.

Beating the guy with every disadvantage elevates the win significantly, like Floyd over Oscar.

So then, Crawford could have negotiated with the orgs to sign to fight mandatories at a date to be determined pending the Spence rematch; and could have avoided being stripped by IBF. He didn't. The result: no longer undisputed, which makes a Spence 147 rematch less appealing.

So then, when Boots told him to "come get yo belt back!", Crawford could have signed for a unification with Boots at a date to be determined pending the Spence rematch; which would put him in line to make history again by being a 2x undisputed at welterweight. Instead, Crawford verbally refused. The result: fans "hoping" that there's a rematch, even though said rematch was due in December.

Meanwhile, the division is held up. It wasn't held up with Spence; he came back from a wreck and fought Danny Swift, then Ugas. Constantly defending, or unifying.

So no...I can't blame Spence on this one.

Assuming Spence was drained - and I don't know that he was - a 154 match should be more competitive if anything. Spence debuted at 160 but weighed in slightly too small for it. Crawford started under 140 and has never fought higher than 147.

Crawford decimating Spence at 154 would be akin to watching Pacquiao decimate Canelo at 160 - as in, should be physically impossible without "medical assistance" - and at that point, the effects of SNAC (or whatever else) becomes highly questionable.

Floyd himself said that Spence really should be fighting at 160 by now. That's telling, given Floyd has gone toe-to-toe with Spence before. So then how else do you explain Spence getting wrecked at 147 other than being significantly drained?

Regarding the bolded part...you are making a hopeful assumption but frankly, at this point, do you really want to see Spence fighting Crawford at 154 that much? It probably will be more competitive than 147 for sure, but watching a rematch that goes from total ownage drubbing total anniliation loss to a solidly fought one sided loss just doesn't interest me regardless. Should've gone up to 154 regardless of Crawford and reestablished his value first before a rematch.

He claims he's wanted to fight Bud. Ennis was a top wbo then went the ibf route when Bud was making mandatory and voluntary wbo defenses. You ask "why the hell would he go over to the wbo"?
let's see, for a shot at a title? Spence wasn't making ibf mandatory fights. Pretty easy to understand.

And now he's crying cause Bud won't fight him, knowing Crawf is legally obligated to rematch Spence.

            Yall Ennis fans are weird

I’m on record. I don’t care. The options were clear.
              1. Rematch Spence at 154 - meaning vacate the belts
              2. Fight a mandatory at 147 and negotiate around the date to do Spence next year
A rematch with Spence at 147 is a duck of two guys.

And I want the unified WELTERWEIGHT champion to stop calling out lightweights and super middleweights while other welters are calling him out.

              That’s all.

It has plenty to do with Spence, fan boy. You Errol dk riders are looking for someone (anyone) to ride since July 29th. Boots had the chance to force a WBO mandatory last December, but went the IBF instead like a coward. Now that Bud is contractually obligated to the Spence rematch, he and his goofball father come out of hiding and start flapping their ashy gums.
