He's contractually obligated to rematch Errol Spence Jr at 147, that's welterweight.

Stop crying like a little child throwing your toys out the pram now

Doesn't matter who, what or where. Bud ended up knocking out Avenasyn on BLK Prime after Ennis ducked the offer. Then Bud went on to dominate and destroy Spence in his next fight

boots is a email champ and happy about it.

That pretty sad as. He should have fought someone for that title.
He did, won interim, bud didn’t entertain defending so he was elevated. Simple, even more simple? Boots already told team Crawford, “if you don’t like it, come get it back”

In December. Which didn’t happen. Which means he could have fought Boots. But he verbally refused. That’s a duck.

I know you don’t like that your guy is refusing to “come get yo belt back “ but there it is.

By the way, I haven't seen an official announcement anywhere yet but I pray the Spence rematch is in 154 if it absolutely must occur. It still atleast not as wasteful as 147.

Crawford's realistically doable best opponents in 2024:
                1) vs Tszyu at 154 for belt
                2) vs Spence at 154 for tuneup
                3) vs Boots at 147 just to shut him up
                4) vs Spence at at 147 for a waste of time

It would be a bit more entertaining had Spence been able to fight a ranked dude in 154 to bring back his value a bit before the rematch.

I heard/read somewhere that it was going to be in February, but is the Spence rematch officially cancelled?

I’ve heard nothing. And usually by now there’s a formal announcement with a location.

My prediction: it’s not happening in Q1. And if not, that would have Crawford inactive for nearly a year. Which might result in another stripping, likely WBA.
