Is Haney the most overrated dude in game?

I mean, the guy is a huge weight bully and he was happy to get a decision fighting small Lomachenko?

There was a lot of controversy and backlash about this garbage back when Gatti sent Joey Gamache out of the ring on a stretcher and almost died. That fight, Gatti gained 19 pounds on the day of the fight since weigh-in. Haney was always been a weight bully, anyone who fights him should demand rehydration clauses. In fact, Haney himself said he would never agree to one, and now it’s obvious why.

First, it's an official weigh-in. Why would you think the Calfornia Athletic Commission would conduct another weigh-in for the hell of it? I'm just going to assume you don't know how this process works, so I'll explain it just as the CSAC explains it. This comes the California Athletic Commissions website:

This event had the fighters weighing in on two separate days, the first being 30 hours before the fight (as is the law in California) and the second being the day of the fight. As you can see at section 8 of that statement, when it's before the commission, you cannot wear more than shorts, shirt and socks.
All of that is for an official weigh in at 140, the 2nd weigh in? why? there are no consequences of being above a specific weight so why take everything off or do it at all?

Tank is avoiding anyone who poses a legit threat to him. But Haney openly boasted he would never agree to a rehydration clause when he was calling out Ryan for agreeing to one with Tank. Now we know why.

                  yeah i saw that documentary.

can't believe VADA is backed by SNAC (financially by conte?)

in retrospect, i saw patterns when a fight is enrolled by VADA, the SNAC-backed fighters gets harassed less by testing compared to non-SNAC fighters.

basically, if both fighters agreed to VADA for the fight, during training camp, the fighter associated with SNAC will NOT be visited often by VADA personnel. While the non-SNAC fighter will be harassed and their training interrupted by VADA personnel multiple times.

that may not mean much but that ish is su****ious!!!!

im not sure if stephen fulton is a snac fighter, but it would explain the amount of vada visits inoue gets compared to fulton.

fortunately, you cant put greatness down

I don't think Haney is at fault here. I mean, the guy is a tall fella. Not his fault, his tall structure, body and genetics make him come in at 165 on fight night. Why does it matter anyway with the weight on fight night?

As long as you can make 140 on weigh-in day. Canelo came in at 166.8 on fight night vs. Mayweather and still got dismantled?

Still though, speculation with 25 pounds added on Haney... I'm curious with what he ate.

He’s only 5’9”, not that tall. Either way, there was a trial hearing for Gatti who put on 19 pounds and almost killed a man in the ring. Boxing was supposed to take measures to prevent this extreme rehydration, but they didn’t. We have weight classes for a reason. Circumventing the rules has consequences. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on that Mayweather IV drip masking PEDs while rehydrating.
