Its water we are talking about, his same muscles have to carry that added weight, the muscle doesn't grow more muscle, some guys can dry out a lot of water depending on their physiology and methods, its a real artform to nail it perfectly with the goal being , lightest weight and be as big as you can be fight night, old school boxing doctrine that goes back to the1800s and boxing connections to fighting dog, if you want a 100% fair fight they got to weigh the same fight night, the 30 hr modern system doesn't allow that so is what it is, you cant blame the fighters that have advantages within the rules, they all stem from traits they were born with.
Devin Haney rehydrated to 165 lbs

I know some of these guys are using a drip line. It's one of those things that's rarely talked about. You cannot put on 25 pounds of watertight within 30 hours naturally, by sipping small amounts of water throughout the day. It's not physiologically possible. You have between 7 to 12 pounds as being the range. You can see that Regis was in that range, which is what is expected. But with Devin? Nope. I've talked to guys who've been in this business for 30 plus years, and they told me that it absolutely does go on and just isn't talked about.

Let’s wait until someone dies in the ring or fix this
No chit he only got off 36 punches , there was super middleweight power teeing off on him
Another fughin asterisk next to his W

If you make 140 on the scales you’re a JWW regardless of what weight you rehydrate back.Just as I have been stating. Devin Haney is a weight bully. He goes to his hotel room, gets on a drip line and pumps himself up with 25 extra pounds of body weight. He's been doing this his whole career, which is why he always tries to have ceremonial weigh ins rather than legit weigh ins.
Just compare to Regis. As I HAVE BEEN SAYING, when you rehydrate about 7 to 12 pounds (12 pounds max), you are rehydrating naturally. Within a 30 hour period, you should not be putting on more than 12 pounds. Regis rehydrated 10 pounds in 30 plus hours. That's normal. That's how you're supposed to do it.
Haney rehydrated 15 pounds more than Regis, and he's supposed to be the guy moving up.
We need to put a stop to this bull****.
This is why I think Loma kicking the crap out of Devin, who likely weighed 165 in the ring, is arguably one of his best performances.
The BS that needs to stop is you whining about it and using idiotic terms like weight bully.
Loma lost. Get over it. We do agree his crying after the fight was perhaps his best performance.

Yep. They are now hiding Tank from Haney. Making excuses.
