This is very true, so they will be highly motivated possibly to make the required fight night weight could be argued too so they keep all their dosh and dont hand it over to a guy they may not like at all

Actually there would have to be something put in place to stop a B-sider pulling a fast one and for example doing a haney and coming in 25ibs or more over to get one over the rule abiding A-sider, that wouldnt do at all, u over a certain amount no fight & the promoter gets a huge fine too, im sure there would be other issues as well that would crop up

Why are you fining the promoter over a boxer coming in over?

incentive to keep the boxer in line maybe just incase hes tempted to do a fast one, hes burning his bridges with the promoter, the promoter otherwise would potentially benefit big time if his guy actually won the fight breaking the rules doing it so may even have an incentive to encourage the guy, who knows

I think it'd be better to just suspend the boxer who is over if he's THAT out of line & punish him directly over indirectly or not at all if the promoter is making enough money off of that fighter that he doesn't gaf about a fine.

yeah u just have to make that sort of stuff a big no no somehow, a pound or two is acceptable

im sure they could make it work somehow, it cant be rocket science type of stuff, they could have a 2 week weighin etc to make sure people are on track, these boxers know exactly what they weigh coming up to fights already, its no mystery to them and they already manage their weights very well

If you excessively weight cut you are a weight bully cause it is to gain advantage over a smaller fighter. Why do IBF have a 10lbs rehydration rule
