Haney is top 5 p4p fighter now

    1.Crawford
    2. Inoue
    3. Canelo
    4. Usyk
    5. Haney

    Key takeaways:

    1) Haney is actually getting better, his positional game was very impressive, though Prograis completely ****ting the bed could be part of this
    2) Like Shakur, though not being a power-puncher, there is enough power to keep opponents honest at 140 and probably at 147.
    3) Tangential, Loma is probably much better than we assumed an older 135 fighter is. Really a shame we had to watch him waste his career as being an undersized 135 lber.

      I’d say that’s fair.

      #1 at 135, Legit Champion at 140

Wins over Kambosos x2, Lomachenko and Prograis. That’s P4P worthy.

I would put Bivol and Canelo ahead of Haney as well.

Beating Canelo in such a dominant fashion merits top 5 p4p status. Canelo’s resume eclipses Haney’s.

Fury should probably be ahead of him as well but I understand moving him above him given another division title and Fury looking bad against Ngannou.

        1.Crawford
        2. Inoue
        3. Usyk
        4. Bivol
        5. Canelo
        6. Haney
        7. Fury

People often overlook the fact that Haney fought Loma flat-footed which was why he was such an easy target for Loma to hit. However, he didn't fight that way against the "Rougarou" in which he fought almost exclusively off the back foot.

haney needs a clear win v someone like teo or even this matias guy would do who is going well at the moment which counts for something, if u want to separate yourself and claim the best etc like haney and his pops do for him, u need clear wins in the biggest fights, he didnt do that v loma but he does that v lesser guys, he needs to do it v the better guys and not rely on judges calls, bivol beat canelo clearly which is a hard thing to do even now

Larry passed away earlier this year.
