Thanks for providing a perfect example of how ****** the Canelo haters are. Smith was literally the consensus best at 168 when Canelo fought him. ALL the people who "know boxing" had Smith ahead of Benavidez. Nobody thought Benavidez was better at the time, and why would they? He wasn't even considered good enough at the time to fight in the Super Series with Smith and his resume at the time was non-existent. I've been watching people like you start piling on the hype, and it's only started to happen as Canelo beat the champions. And the best part is that Benavidez was fighting bums at the time too. Among people who really actually "know boxing" there's never been a time that Benavidez was #1 at 168. Smith was universally acclaimed #1, and then Canelo was. FACTS.
If he loses to Canelo, you and the other haters will be on here saying that Benavidez' best wins were Canelo leftovers and a hypejob Andrade who never fought anyone himself. And that's accurate to boot. He's been looking better and better, I'll give him that. But the Canelo haters like you are notorious for moving the goal posts. Why? Because he's accomplished more in a year than you will your entire lives, and it makes you feel better to talk smack about someone who's definitively better than you.
