You’re not wrong about Jacobs but c’mon…when was the last time in the last two or three years that a fighter has been on a pretty violent run like Benny? Not many.

Also, if Benavides’s career stopped right now…would he go into the hall of fame?

GGG wasn’t overhyped, and that Jacobs win was probably more significant than even the Andrade win last night. We’re not even considering the Hopkins-esque title defense run he had before having it snapped by Canelo.

Prior to Canelo taking his run at the Super middleweight division, nobody had Benavidez as #1, and Canelo immediately took the top place by beating the #1. I don't think Benavidez was EVER #1 at 168. Maybe he will be within a couple years, but making up this notion that he was some bogeyman who Canelo ducked isn't historically accurate. Facts are that he wasn't ranked #1 by anyone when Canelo took his run, and that he wasn't professional enough to keep his belt not once but twice, or Canelo might have had to go through him. I still want Canelo to fight him to secure his legacy, like most everyone else, but he never separated himself from the crowd until he started chasing the bag in earnest.
Callums smith best win was a shot groves. Anyone who knows boxing knows Benavidez was much better than Smith ever was regardless of rankings.

If Nell beats benavides it must be great. Because no matter what you think of benvidez, people are saying him and Nell need to fight. So Nell fights who people say he should.
If benavides wins, it will.do him good to and he will go on to become a great Mexican too

Canelo haters are legit creepy weirdos, 100 percent guarantee if a Benavidez fight gets announced people will start walking back how big a monster he is.

If Canelo wins he’ll be a complete bum.

its the opposite of fighting guys who are dangerous and prime and going very well

benny is a been seen as some type of monster by some, will canelo be scared away again or will he step up and make the fight that should be made
Canelo fought GGG once he had no other options. It'll probably play out the same way with Benavidez. In the meantime, all Benavidez has to do is avoid Morrell.

totally disagree with teddy. canelo is already great.

to say he isn’t great UNTIL he fights benavidez is scrapping all of canelos previous accomplishments. totally unfair and narrow minded.

You realize that canelo lost the first fight, he was on peds and he was gifted and the second one was shady too.

I felt both were competitive. The first I scored a draw but if you HAD to pick a winner, GGG takes it.

Both were close. Nobody can tell me that they scored the fight a certain manner and it’s 100% accurate to the tee and that everybody should score it a particular way…they’re highly competitive bouts.
