Thanks for providing a perfect example of how ****** the Canelo haters are. Smith was literally the consensus best at 168 when Canelo fought him. ALL the people who "know boxing" had Smith ahead of Benavidez. Nobody thought Benavidez was better at the time, and why would they? He wasn't even considered good enough at the time to fight in the Super Series with Smith and his resume at the time was non-existent. I've been watching people like you start piling on the hype, and it's only started to happen as Canelo beat the champions. And the best part is that Benavidez was fighting bums at the time too. Among people who really actually "know boxing" there's never been a time that Benavidez was #1 at 168. Smith was universally acclaimed #1, and then Canelo was. FACTS.

If he loses to Canelo, you and the other haters will be on here saying that Benavidez' best wins were Canelo leftovers and a hypejob Andrade who never fought anyone himself. And that's accurate to boot. He's been looking better and better, I'll give him that. But the Canelo haters like you are notorious for moving the goal posts. Why? Because he's accomplished more in a year than you will your entire lives, and it makes you feel better to talk smack about someone who's definitively better than you.

Yes the youngest ever SM champ in history was not good enough to participate in the euro can fest Super series unlike the great anvi yildrim. You exposed yourself as an idiot. That series was trash. Benavidez was always regarded as the future star of the division rather than Smith who is just a UK can despite being ranked 1. You are confusing rankings with actually being the best.

Both were close. Nobody can tell me that they scored the fight a certain manner and it’s 100% accurate to the tee and that everybody should score it a particular way…they’re highly competitive bouts.
Fair enough. I had the first one for ggg competitive but a clear win, the second was competitive but like you if I have to puck a winner that would be canelo.

Agreed 100%, people that ranked smith the best are biased, another fact is that all the three "champs" that canelo beat to unify, none of them took the title from a champion, every one of them was vacant.

Reason canelo refused to fight ggg and vacated wasn’t because he waited him out, it was because as mandatory to canelos wbc title per wbc rules had that fight went to purse bid, which knowing team GGG (and I don’t blame them, i think anyone in his position would do the same) they were going to refuse all negotiations and take the 55/45 split in favor of the champ and we all know damn well ggg at that time wasn’t gonna demand that type of split vs canelo. So canelo said, phuck your belt and we can revisit without the sanctioning body having anything to do with the splits. Stop the bs. And when they finally fought what happened? Ggg couldn’t do sh.it with canelo. Got exposed and look at their careers after they fought each other. Night and day, ggg was exposed
Canelo didn’t expose sh#t bro stop with the nonsense. GGG was the perfect example of a guy who people should’ve known about, and didn’t.

No one even knew who he was until he was 30 yrs old and it wasn’t even his fault. If he had the promotional backing that that Canelo had, he would’ve had a similar career to Canelo.

And if a boxer really wants to box someone, they can find a way to get it done. Especially someone with the popularity and clout of Canelo. He had the pick. So I I’m sorry. I just don’t buy into any reason or excuse from him as to why it took that long. He could’ve tried harder. Bottom line is he didn’t.

I know GGG wanted it. He signed with DAZN when Canelo was with them. Why do you think he did that? GGG had offers from mulitple platforms. He knew he wasn’t getting any younger. It wasn’t by accident.

He beat a 40 yr old GGG by the time they did the trilogy. GGG started showing links in his armor ever since Kell Brook had success against him back in 2016, and Canelo still struggled with GGG 2 times!

Reason I say these things is cuz look at Wilder vs Fury. That was a trilogy done right. Wasn’t no 4 yr break in between the bouts. They both wanted it, they got it done. Takes 2 to tango. GGG showed he wanted to go at it again. Canelo didn’t. And that’s no bs spin. That’s just how it was and how it is.

And actually now the rolls are reversed with Benevitez and Canelo. Just like time wasn’t on GGG’s side, times no longer on Canelo’s side. And the longer he waits, the more pressure will be put on him to fight Benevitez. If they fought 3 or 4 yrs ago, I’d pick Canelo to win. Not the case anymore.

I’ll add to the fact that Canelo couldn’t even KO a 40 yr old, shopworn GGG. Looked like a glorified sparring session I actually dozed off watching it. If Canelo “exposed” GGG, he should’ve KOed him.
