And the way he fought them? Which "style" did he use?

As he almost always did. Boxed then turned into an animal once he smelled blood.

            Larry (exasperated):
George...Hopkins is a Philly fighter. You couldn't survive the famous Philly gym wars if you didn't know how to BOX!
That's because Larry covered Philly at one time. People keep thinking Philly fighters are just brawlers for some ****ty reason...Rocky movies...but the truth is, they are well schooled fighters. Where do people think George Benton came from?

But there is reason to believe that the Philly fighters beat the **** out of each other in sparring because they treated it like fights. I can't deny that...to many have witnessed it over the years and talked and wrote about it.

Shush! Let's not stray too far. I'm curious as to what "style" Hopkins employed.

I can't believe people think Glen Johnson is anything like on Calzaghe's level...

Johnson is the single most overrated boxer of the last 20 years.

and no i'm not joking, **** the guy is the only boxer Ottke didn't need to rob.

I look at it like this, Calz had to be much closer to his prime than the 40+ year old Hopkins when they fought. That said, it was a very close fight, and I wouldnt necessarily EXPECT Calzaghe to win a rematch over the current Hopkins, let alone defeat him in his prime. Hopkins was a bad mother****er in his prime. ****, look at him, he's what, 43(?), and still a bad mother****er. Ask Kelly Pavlik.
