George: Hopkins is feinting now! And boxing! Can you imagine that?
Larry (exasperated): George...Hopkins is a Philly fighter. You couldn't survive the famous Philly gym wars if you didn't know how to BOX!
But there is reason to believe that the Philly fighters beat the **** out of each other in sparring because they treated it like fights. I can't deny that...to many have witnessed it over the years and talked and wrote about it.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 10-07-2009, 04:20 PM.

I can't believe people think Glen Johnson is anything like on Calzaghe's level...
Johnson is the single most overrated boxer of the last 20 years.
and no i'm not joking, **** the guy is the only boxer Ottke didn't need to rob.

I look at it like this, Calz had to be much closer to his prime than the 40+ year old Hopkins when they fought. That said, it was a very close fight, and I wouldnt necessarily EXPECT Calzaghe to win a rematch over the current Hopkins, let alone defeat him in his prime. Hopkins was a bad mother****er in his prime. ****, look at him, he's what, 43(?), and still a bad mother****er. Ask Kelly Pavlik.Last edited by MetalVomit; 10-07-2009, 04:24 PM.
