Never saw Canelo fans complaining about Yildrim or Ryder, but a tough mandatory? Suddenly they have to earn it

Do you know ryder was supposed to fight Morrell Jr after caseres fight? Didn't happen because Hearn told everyone that ryder was moving up to LHW to challenge bivol, of course that was an excuse to save face, he took an easier route, one that didn't involve the Cuban, nobody is mentioning that.

Yeah, I think he's fighting Munguia

Morell jr is a dangerous fight for benavidez, but right now the more pressing fight is against canelo. I think benavidez has to go through go through canelo first as it is a mega fight, then fight morell jr, move up to 175 ibs after that. I wouldn't want to see benavidez move up and not fight morell jr.

I prefer benavidez vs ginger, he was there first, but if the fight doesn't materialize, Morell jr should be the obvious choice.

In Japan, if you're not ready to fight for a world title by your 10th fight, guys will look at you as domestic level. If you're not ready by 10, you never will. Obviously theres exceptions to every rule. Inoue was 2 division champ in his 9th fight. I think Tanaka was 3 division champ by his 11th fight.
              Just for reference...
Inoue 1st division title was 6th match and 2nd division title was 8th match. 16th for 3rd and 25th for 4th division.
Tanaka 1st division 5th match, 2nd division 8th match, third division was 13th match. Lost to Ioka on 16th match for the 4th division and is still in 115 looking for the 4th division title.
Kazuto Ioka was 7, 11, 18, and 26th match for each division.
Kenshiro Teraji's first title was 10th match.

Although still 25, Junto Nakatani was late by recent Japanese boxer standards as his first division title was 21st match and second was 25th. He probably will go up to 118 next match.

Lomachenko also had 397 amateur fights, and Rigondeaux had 386. Granted, Spinks had 185 amateur and 7 pro fights before he fought Ali. Morrell? He had only 137 amateur fights. The guy's trying to be fast-tracked based on what? His desire for a huge PPV after 137 amateur fights and 9 pro fights. I guess the question is, do the powers that be think he deserves a title shot?

That's not it for me at all. Benavidez is a two-time WBC champion, who lost his title due to coming in overweight and failing a ******* test. Canelo took advantage of the situation and won his stripped belt, but he's making excuses for not fighting Benavidez, to give him an opportunity to win it back. The guy has fought his ass off to get the mandatory shot at Alvarez, but some of you guys think he should shelve that and fight this nube Morrell instead. Benavidez and Morrell are NOT on the same level of accomplishments and shouldn't be treated like they are.

And Benavidez has been the mandatory for Canelos' WBC belt for over 2 years. And now that he's beaten Andrade, the WBC is finally "officially" recognizing him as the mandatory challenger. I don't have a problem with Canelo fighting Morrell to defend his WBA belt, but Benavidez shouldn't have to fight another mandatory challenger in Morrell before challenging Alvarez for his WBC title.
